Our condo is on the market!

It feels so great to have finally made a decision about our living situation. Our condo has been on the market since last week and I am hoping the process doesn't take too long!

13 weeks!

I've made it to 13 weeks in my pregnancy so that feels pretty good. Hoping that all my nauseuosness is gone for good. I can't complain too much though...I haven't been feeling too bad. My clothes are starting to get tight though. : ( Not too happy about that.

Sydney the dancer!

4th of July at the river!

We went a long weekend at the river to celebrate the 4th of July with my mom and dad and Amanda and Jeff. Sydney absolutely LOVES the water. Darren and I spent a lot of time running after her or sloshing around in the water with her. Great weekend!

Mom's surprise 60th birthday party

Surprise! In June my mom turned 60 and my dad and sisters and I planned a surprise party at El Torito Grill. She was surprises and everyone had a great time!

3 years!

On May 19th Darren and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary! It's surprising how fast 3 years have flown by. I still cannot believe how lucky we were to find each other. We both truly believe we are living with our soul mate. Love you babe!

Trip to Paradise!

In May we were so lucky to spend 9 awesome days in Hawaii! We stayed at an absolutely amazing house on the North Shore on the famous Pipeline beach with my mom and dad and Pam, Brent, Avery, Brady and Finley. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the beach or the back patio and just googling at the amazing views. Besides drooling over the view we also did some snorkeling at Shark Cove, the boys did some body boarding, we went to the Dole Plantation, spent a day at Pearl Harbor and Waikiki, went to the town of Haleiwa for lunch and famous shaved ice and we even went searching for the beaches from the TV show Lost. One of the best parts of the trip was BBQing fish we bought from the local market each night on the back patio. Eating fresh fish overlooking the ocean and listening to the waves break each night was such a treat. Darren and I also scored the master bedroom so we were able to fall asleep to the sweet beach noises each night. We all want to go back!!!

Sydney 13 months

Our little Sydney has brought so much joy to our lives! She is such a happy and sweet little girl. She loves being outside, walking all over the place and spending time with other kids. We couldn't love her more!

Palm Springs Getaway!

Darren and I were fortunate enough to spend an entire weekend relaxing and having fun in Palm Springs this past weekend! Thanks to our lovely parents we were able to leave Sydney at home and enjoy an extended weekend. Our friends Alisha and Greg got married at the posh Parker hotel on Saturday night. Besides the really beautiful and fun wedding, we also spent time at the pool, Darren golfed and I got a nice maicure. We were able to spend some alone time as well as lots of time with some of our closest friends. Although we missed Sydney a lot it was such a nice break to get away and not have to be responsible for a 13 month old.

Busy December!

Busy Few Months!

Ok I have really lagged at keeping up on this blog! With regular email, Facebook and uploading pictures to Kodak Gallery this just seems like another cyber update I need to do. Maybe my New Years resolution should be to do an update at least once a month...but then again I never make New Years resolutions.
Since my last update we've been so busy! Sydney is now 9 months and weighed in at 17 lbs 14 oz and was 28.5 inches at her 9 month check up. She is still a little peanut! It seems like she has been trying to crawl for months now, but she can't seem to grasp going forward. She can move around putting well though and can especially move backwards. I think she might skip crawling altogether and just go straight to walking. All she wants to do is stand up and try to pull her self up. She is such a happy girl! From the moment I go in and get her from her crib in the morning she is smiling and laughing. It is such a go and blessing to get to spend everyday with her! What a gift from God!

Thanksgiving and Christmas with Sydney definitely made them have special meaning this year! She loved the mashed potatoes, my butternut squash casserole and my moms pear salad at Thanksgiving. And Christmas...wow! We had several events and parties so it was definitely a busy month! We started off with the kids party hosted by the Grahams and Sydney opened her first gift, some books. We song happy birthday to Jesus and strolled through the Christmas Lights on Birch Street in Brea with all the kids in tow. I think there were about 15 kids all parading and have a great time and the parents enjoyed some yummy spiked hot cocoa. Darren and I went to our annual couples party and gift exchange at the Shirley's and had a ton of fun. We also went to the Rockenbach's annual ornament exchange and my families annual Ornament Hanging that Pam and Brent hosts every year. Lastly we went to the Summit House for a great dinner with my family and Brent's family and the kids were really well behaved. It was a great night of yummy food and we capped it off by seeing Santa at the Brea Mall. I thought for sure Sydney would be screaming bloody murder, but she did surprisingly well. We spent Christmas Eve at Darren's moms, Christmas morning/breakfast at Darren's dads and then everyone met up at my mom and dads for afternoon fun and dinner. We were also lucky enough to have my Nana in town for 10 days! So as you can see its been a busy couple of months. I hope everyone had a great holiday season and I know 2010 is going to be great!!!
